- Press the button to release the contents.
- Drive your car to evenly distribute in the tire.
Use a Tire Plug Kit
A tire plug kit is another fairly easy option for fixing your flat tire, and it lasts longer than Fix-A-Flat. Here is how to plug your tire:
- Remove your tire from your car.
- Using the rasp tool in your tire plug kit, clean the hole.
- Thread the plug through the insertion tool that comes in your tire plug kit.
- Apply the rubber cement or glue from your kit onto the plug.
- Use the insertion tool to push the plug into the tire, leaving about a ½ inch protruding from the top.
- Cut away the excess, and then pump the tire up.
- Use soapy water to make sure that the plug is not leaking
